Victoria Ganger

Victoria Ganger (June 16, 1954 - May 30, 2022) was born and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio. She attended Shaker Hts. High School and graduated from Ohio University in 1976.

Victoria spent her working life in communications, first as a proofreader and editor, and then for many years as an advertising and promotional copywriter, several times conceiving and staging entire corporate events. She worked independently for the last several years of her career for large corporations based in Cleveland - but also contributing her services to local institutions, producing among other things a promotional film for a hospice care home.

Vicky was known to her friends and the local musical community as a singer-songwriter of rare gifts. She appeared for many years as a solo act on festival and small-venue stages before combining her singing and instrumental talents with those of two close friends to form the trio “Revelry.” Revelry recorded four albums of her music, a legacy which will be treasured by her friends along with the much larger body of music that she produced, in all the lyrics and music of approximately 150 songs. Each one of her songs bears witness to her unique combination of sharp wit and deep, personal feeling.

Victoria was an earnest organizer of music and arts events, a frequent performer, and a support and encouragement to other talents. She leaves behind a community of creativity and friendship.
