William Daugherty

November 8, 1927 — March 10, 2014

William Loyd Daugherty died peacefully at home on March 10, 2014. Born November 8, 1927 in Cleveland, OH, Mr. Daugherty was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and Miami University. He proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force in the Korean conflict. Mr. Daugherty was President of The Sanymetal Products Co., Inc with factories in Cleveland, Atlanta, GA, and Arlington, TN. In addition, he was Chairman of the Board of Interior Steel and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland. Mr. Daugherty's parents, Clyde John Daugherty and Juanita Kane Daugherty preceded him in death as did his siblings, Clyde John Daugherty, Jr. and Phyllis Daugherty Wittmer.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Alta Lyle Simmons Daugherty (Tee), and his children, Sarah Daugherty Rademacher of Cincinnati, OH, Lyle Daugherty Hazelrig (Keith) of Birmingham, AL, and William Jonathan Daugherty (Kay) of Hampden, MA. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren Colin John Rademacher Jr. of San Francisco, CA, Cameron Peter Rademacher of Cincinnati, Trent Claxton Rademacher of Cincinnati, Nash Arrington Rademacher of Cincinnati, Simmons Hazelrig Skinner (Russell Jr.) of Jacksonville, FL, Caroline Hazelrig Van Eaton (Billy) of Atlanta, Virginia Lyle Hazelrig of Birmingham, William Jonathan Daugherty Jr. of Austin, TX, Charles Ashton Daugherty of New York, NY, Katherine Kane Skinner and Russell Richard Skinner III of Jacksonville and Kylie Noelle Rademacher of Cincinnati.

The family prefers that those who wish may make donations to Warrior Canine Connection a�� , 23222 Georgia Avenue, Brookville, MD 20822 or to one's own favorite charity.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 22 at Hudson Presbyterian Church, 201 West Streetsboro Street, Hudson, OH 44236 at 1:00 PM.
