Wilma Bemis

Wilma "Billie" Criley Nye Bemis nee Suits. Beloved wife of the late William Wallace "Pug" Criley, Walker Hamilton Nye and William Hay Bemis. Dear Stepmother of Elizabeth Cameron Dean, and Rebecca Jasperson Bon. Also survived by Pug's nieces and nephew, Helen B. Burdg and the late Peg Bloker. Billie is also survived by her nieces, Karen Chakford, Marilyn Dietrich and Stacy Magers, a nephew Jeffrey Hommel and the late Diane Costa. Wilma graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. She worked at Halle Bros. and enjoyed working with the buyers. She volunteered at St. Luke's and University Hospitals, Children's Guild and was a Junior Board Member of Amasa Stone House. Billie's great joy was working in the garden and arranging flowers. She enjoyed golfing with friends. Her enthusiasm and love of people was contagious. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to the Memorial Fund of Fairmount Presbyterian Church, 2757 Fairmount Blvd., Cleveland Hts., OH 44118 or to First Congregational Church of Hudson, 47 Aurora St., Hudson, OH 44236. PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD. Memorial Services will be held at Fairmount Presbyterian Church Monday, August 6 at 11 AM. In addition, a Celebration of Her Life will be held in Serenity Chapel of Laurel Lake, 200 Laurel Lake Dr., Hudson, OH 44236 on Monday August 6 at 3:30 PM.
