TRENKAMP WILMA ANNE, age 70, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 7.
Anne was born in Cleveland, OH on July 9, 1945 to the late Robert H. and Wilma (Simon) Trenkamp.
She graduated from Laurel School, received a BA in Music from Case Western Reserve University, a MM from University of Michigan and a PhD from Case Western Reserve University. After graduation she moved to the east coast to teach at Wheaton College, going from there to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell where she served as Professor of Music Theory. She contributed extensively to scholarly research in the field of early 20th century European Music.
She is survived by her sister Sally Dowling (Joseph) of Providence, Rhode Island and her brother Bob (Shar Coleman) of Savannah, Georgia and by six nieces and nephews.
Anne enjoyed keeping up with her high school classmates and remained close to many of them. She was a great dog lover and owned many wonderful pets throughout her life. She was especially fond of Golden Retrievers and is survived by her current Golden, Charley.
A Funeral Mass will be held MONDAY, OCTOBER 26th , at 11 AM in Our Lady of Peace Church, 12503 Buckingham Rd., Cleveland, OH, followed by interment in Lake View Cemetery.
